Continuing Education for Acupuncture

Continuing Education classes for acupuncturists are offered to licensed acupuncturists and certified acupuncturists. Some classes are open to students of acupuncture or certain other health-care practitioners, such as midwives. Occasionally, a class is open to all. Please check course listings for details.

All of the course contact hours are available for continuing education units (CEUs) from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). One contact hour is equivalent to one CEU. Contact hours are provided within the description of each course. The short courses and workshops offered through the school of Professional Continuing Education are for continuing education or avocational purposes and do not prepare students for a specific career objective. As such, they do not fall within the scope of the Swedish Institute accreditation agencies, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).
