Admissions

The Personal Training Program enrolls students three times a year: in January, April/May and September. Prospective students can download a registration form, request one via e-mail or phone an Admissions Advisor at 212.924.5900 ext. 125. Details about requirements and the Curriculum can be found in our current catalog.

Curriculum

The Personal Training Program provides an exciting and innovative curriculum that benefits those entering the fitness field, massage therapists wanting to expand their practices, personal trainers seeking higher levels of certification and those simply interested in learning about fitness, exercise and the human body. Details on the curriculum can be found in our Course Descriptions.

Completing the Program

Our Personal Training Program leads to a Swedish Institute Advanced Personal Training Certificate and prepares graduates to take examinations offered by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Personal trainers work in a variety of settings, including in private practice, in medical facilities, spas, fitness centers and corporate settings. Read about the profession and Graduate Profiles.
