Subway

The closest subways are:

Eighth Avenue subway: Local C and E trains stop at 23rd Street.

Seventh Avenue subway: Local 1 train stops at 23rd and 28th Streets.

Sixth Avenue subway: Local V and F trains stop at 23rd Street.

Broadway subway: Local W and R trains stop at 28th Street.

Bus

The M20 bus goes downtown on Seventh Avenue to 26th Street and travels uptown on Eighth Avenue to 26th Street.

Out-Of-Town Connections

From Grand Central Station (42nd Street on the East Side): Take the Shuttle train to Times Square, then take the 1 train to 28th Street and Seventh Avenue.

From Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street on the West Side): Take the C or E trains to 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue.

From Penn Station (32nd Street on the West Side): Take the C or E subway to 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue, or walk downtown on Seventh Avenue to 26th Street.

Path Station (23rd Street and Sixth Avenue): Walk north on Sixth Avenue to 26th Street then turn left (west) onto 26th Street.

Parking

Some street parking and meter parking is available in our neighborhood. There are a number of garages and outdoor lots conveniently located near the school.

 

Neighborhood

Chelsea, a distinctive neighborhood on the West Side of Manhattan, is enjoying a surge of popularity and influx of exciting new businesses. In a recent New York Times review of art shows, six of the eight galleries were located in Chelsea. Mostly low-rise buildings mixed with brownstones maintains a residential feeling, mixed in with restaurants of all kinds, gyms, yoga studios, natural food stores and boutiques. The TV studio across the street hosts the new Martha Stewart Living show, with production offices in our building. Chelsea is bordered by Herald Square to the north, the Farmer's Market at Union Square to the south and Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River to the west.
