Become a SISTEM therapist

Our mission is to grow athlete care as an intrinsic component of races. Sports massage is an essential modality for athlete care. 

At a glance, sports massage prepares the athlete for peak performance and assists recovery. However, specializing in sports massage is not only about an expanded knowledge of massage techniques. It is about a deeper understanding of athlete care and the rigors of a competitive environment. SISTEM’s continuing education classes prepare licensed massage therapists to successfully provide for the athlete as a specialist and as part of their team. 

SISTEM therapists undergo specialized training that builds on their massage therapy skills. The training is designed to help familiarize massage therapists with sport specific protocols, conditioning protocols, athlete evaluation/triage, first aid and self care. Classes are held on Sundays at the Swedish Institute.
